In exactly one month you could be one of the pioneers running the first edition of the 20km de Genève by Genève Aéroport! Join us on the ‘Rive Droite’ in Geneva on the 29th of October for this exciting new race; with two race formats on offer it is accessible to everyone. You can either take part in the 20km or in the 20km DUO where you can split the distance between two relay runners.
Starting on the Quai du Mont Blanc right in the heart of Geneva, the course will take you through the international business district before entering the beautiful countryside and snaking through the surrounding towns and turning back into the town centre via the emblematic lake road. To visualise it entirely you can check out the 3D of the course here.
Join in on the fun with your family, friends and colleagues – if you register before midnight on the 4th of October you can have your bib personalised with both your name and national flag.
All runners who participate will receive one of the limited edition Buff’s from our event partner Buff, as well as the first ever runners t-shirt from the 20km de Genève by Genève Aéroport; both promise to be collector’s items in years to come!
In the hope that we will see you on the start line on the 29th of October, we wish you all the best for your training!
The 20km DUO will take place at the same time as the 20km on Sunday 29th of October with a start at 9:30AM on the Quai du Mont Blanc. The race is split into two relay legs and the details are as follows:
Relay 1: Start on Quai du Mont-Blanc – Genthod = 11.5km
Relay point: Rue du village in Genthod (300m from the train station)
Relay 2: Genthod – Finish on Quai du Mont-Blanc = 8.5km
With the free transport pass (Zone 10) that you will receive for the day of your race it will be very easy to get to and from the relay point in Genthod. The train runs from Geneva Cornavin to Creux-de-Genthod on a regular basis, and takes 12 minutes. The Creux-de-Genthod train station is just 300m from the relay point.
